Mark Lucas McCoy, 31 of Long Point passed Sunday evening (June 12th) from injuries received in a boating accident.
A visitation will be held Thursday from 4 – 7 PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. A time of remembrance will be held Thursday at 7 PM at the funeral home with cremation rites following services and a private family burial to be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mark was born on November 30, 1984 in Streator to Richard L. and Ruth (Meredith) McCoy. He married Lainey Senter on May 28, 2011. She survives.
Also surviving are his children Mason, Vivien and Dylan of Long Point, mother, Ruth McCoy of Streator, brothers Richard A. (Nancy) McCoy of Streator, Tim (Janet) McCoy of Streator and Darren (Jennifer) McCoy of Mahomet, sister Kristy (Jim Morse) McCoy of Oglesby, In-laws, Marsha and Mike Evans of Streator, David (Geri) Senter of Streator, sister-in-law, Aleaha Evans of Streator, brother-in-law Luther (Gabby) Senter of Michigan and several nieces and nephews.
Mark is preceded in death by his father and twin brother Michael, paternal grandparents Alonzo and Mabel McCoy, maternal grandparents, Roma and Beatrice Meredith and a niece Madelyn Grace Senter.
He graduated from Streator High School in 2003 and attended Wyo Tech in Wyoming and was employed at Vactor Mfg in Streator. Mark enjoyed riding his Harley motorcycle and fishing, Tae Kwon Do and spending time with his kids.
