If anyone wants to use any photographs I put on any FAG site, you are welcome to do so without giving me credit or asking for my permission. In my opinion, anything I put on here is for public use; otherwise I wouldn't put it here.
If you do not allow messaging through FAG, then do not message me. If I cannot reply to you, your message will be deleted.
Using a period after an initial -- FAG Help says "Yes". See this:
https://support.findagrave.com/s/article/Naming-Memorials#memname
A period should be used after an abbreviated name, for example a middle initial.
Transfer requests may be denied due to the following:
--deceased is a direct relative of mine or my wife
--being dishonest about your relationship to deceased
--demanding transfer be made (you know who you are)
--rudeness (again, you know who you are)
----------
I do include family member names (preceded/survivors) because they have already been documented in a publicized obituary.
----------
Filling in the missing pieces of my family: Cassady, Cassidy, Hart, Miller, Lutz, Brennan, Nolan, Zimmerman, Mertens, Halloran, Verdun, Maubach, and everyone else in between.
----------
We all know that Find a Grave is for "GRAVE REGISTRATION", but it is also a "starting point" as we work together, share, and seek to know more about the people, what they looked like and where they lived as we "register their graves." They are "NOT JUST A NAME ON A STONE!"
-----
THE CEMETERY PHOTOGRAPHER
Wandering among the stones I see
The stones so weathered and worn
'Tis difficult to find the date
On which the babe was born
I stare at the stone and am struck with awe
At the life that I knew was gone
This was someone's child, a babe so sweet
With loved ones to carry on
So I take a photo for all to see
For the family that remains
An everlasting memory of
A child of God's domain
I brush the weeds back from the stone
And say a silent prayer
For the babes that had no chance to live
And for mothers everywhere
The dove calls out it's mourning song
Among the stones so still
Echoes of the woes, through time
The choirs of despair
The stone will someday perish
The flowers will be gone
But a photo now remains of this
Their memory lives on!
And so my friend, don't hesitate
To film the weathered stone
Those who live within your hearts
Are never truly gone.
