Richard "Dick" L. McCoy, 77, of Streator passed away Wednesday morning (Nov. 27th) at St. Mary's Hospital in Streator.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4-8PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7PM.
Cremation rites will be accorded following services. A private family burial will be held in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Dick was born October 11, 1936 in Streator, Illinois to Alonzo and Mabel (Schoenberger) McCoy.
He married Ruth Meredith on April 25, 1966. She survives.
Also surviving are children, Richard Allen (Nancy) McCoy of Streator, Tim (Janet) McCoy of Streator, Darren (Jennifer) McCoy of Mahomet, Kristy McCoy of Oglesby, and Mark (Lainey) McCoy of Streator, nine grandchildren, Jeremy, Justin, Brian, Meaghan, Nathaniel, Connor, Kiera, Mason and Vivien McCoy, and one due in January ,brother, Burt (Necia) McCoy of Ancona.
He was preceded in death by his son, Michael McCoy, brothers, Don, Jim and Phil McCoy and sister, Eva Fairbirn.
Dick attended country grade schools and graduated from Streator High School in 1956. He did concrete finishing and later worked at Owens Illinois Glass and retired from St. Gobain in Burlington, Wisconsin.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to The Reading Fire Department.
