Balcom, Marcet F. Marcet F. Balcom, 83, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 05, 2013. Born September 21, 1929 in Edom, TX., she lived in Irving for 45 years except for 3 1/2 years spent in Tripoli, Libya with her late husband, Monte Balcom Jr., a geophysicist for Mobil Oil. She is survived by sons Monte Balcom III of Dallas, Phred Balcom of Corinth, daughters Chris Perry and Janet Allison, of Irving, grandchildren, Tabetha Kent, Tina Gorski, Ben Allison Jr., Nick Allison, Cliff Bumgarner, Lauren Modin, and great grand children, Tyler Perry, Zachary Gorski, Valeri Gorski, Catherine Lavin, Cole Williams, Ashton Modin and Bentley Modin. Memorial Service will be at Plymouth Park Baptist Church in Irving on Friday Jan 11 at 11 a.m. with family visitation in the chapel from 6 - 7:30 P.M. Thursday evening. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Plymouth Park Baptist Church or Baylor Irving Healthcare Foundation.
