He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam era.
Preceded in death by his parents, son, Chris Bumgarner and brother, Barry Balcom. Survived by his wife of 33 years, Molly as well as numerous other family and nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
A funeral service will be held August 28, 2019. An interment will be at Tyler Memorial Cemetery in Tyler Texas on August 28, 2019.
