Betty was born to John & Rose Horvath Szakacs in East Chicago, IN. She first married Eli Donald Micu, a son Donald J. Micu was born to them. Betty then married Stephen A. Kopton, they had a son Kenneth. Alone Betty moved with her two sons to California in 1957. Shortly after she married Milton Walker she became ill with arterial sclerosis scleroderma. She only lived six months after she was diagnosed. She died two months after the marriage of her son Donald. Her younger son Kenneth went to live with Betty's mother and father John and Rose.
