Roseann Szakacs, age 70, of Munster, formerly of East Chicago, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2006 at Munster Community Hospital. She was born on February 5, 1936. Roseann retired in 2004 from Home and Auto Insurance with 20 years of Service. She was a parish council member of Holy Trinity Hungarian Church, an avid bowler for over 40 years, and loved spending summers with her family at her lake cottage. She was much loved and will be missed.
Preceded in death by her Mother, Rose; Father John; brother, John,sisters Betty, Ethel, & Loretta. Survived by her sister, Pearl (Frank) Kish; nephews;Frank Kish, Terrance ( Vicki) Kish, Thomas (Tina) Kish, Donald (Carol) Micu, Kenneth (Irene) Kopton, James (Joyce) Kolbus and Richard (Janet) Allen; Niece Karen (Alex) Gacsala; great-nieces and nephews; Alexandra and Elizabeth Kish, Zachary and Samantha Kolbus, Amanda, Adam, and Daniel Kish, Daniel Kopton, Alyssa Millard and Erica Smith; and many other relatives and close friends.
Visitation was at Burns-Kish Funeral home, 8415 Calumet Avenue in Munster from 2pm to 8pm on Thursday February 9th, and from 9am until the time of the funeral at Holy Trinity Hungarian Church in East Chicago at 10am and burial followed immediately at St. John Cemetery in Hammond.
