CHESTER: Mrs. Janie Mae Dewitt Wages, 89 died Monday, April 25, 2016 at Chester Regional Nursing Center. The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. – 3:00 P.M. Friday, April 29, 2016 at Barron Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be 3:00 P.M. Friday, April 29, 2016 at Barron Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Green officiating. The interment will follow at Chester Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Wages was born October 3, 1926 and was a daughter of the late Moffatt Bigham DeWitt and Rachel Catherine McWaters DeWitt. She attended the schools of Chester County and was retired from Springs Industries as an inspector. She was a member of Chester Four Square Gospel Church and the widow of Harold David Wages.
Mrs. Wages is survived by one daughter, Martha Wages Bright and her husband Jerry of Chester; one brother, Wilson Dewitt of Chester and one granddaughter, Laura Bright-Trout (Bradley) of Leslie, SC. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Natalie Mechele “Mickie” Bright, one sister, Frances Peay and one brother, William T DeWitt.
