Kenneth is my great-great-uncle.
Kenneth Curtis was born Tuesday, June 11, 1901 in Aurora, Utah to John Franklin Curtis and Sarah Elizabeth Broadhead.

He married Relia Ence on November 13, 1927 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died May 13, 1969. He married Ellen McPherson on March 13, 1970 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, belonging to the Salt Lake Nineteenth Ward, Forest Dale Ward, and East Millcreek Fourth Ward. He was an active High Priest and a former scout leader.

From 1922 until his retirement in 1966, Kenneth worked for the Utah Sand & Gravel Company as a superintendent.

In 1922, he moved to the Salt Lake Valley, where he lived for fifty-four years. From 1927 until 1929, he resided at 121 West Girard Avenue (550 North) in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Salt Lake City. From 1929 until 1946, he resided at 2186 South Lincoln Street (945 East) in the Sugar House neighborhood of Salt Lake City. From 1946 until 1958, he resided at 2284 South 700 East in the Sugar House neighborhood of Salt Lake City. From 1958 until his death, he resided at 3837 South 2700 East in East Millcreek.

Kenneth passed away peacefully on Friday, August 20, 1976 at his home of natural causes.

Funeral services were held on Monday, August 23, 1976 at 1:00 p.m. in the East Millcreek Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 3103 East Craig Drive (3600 South) in East Millcreek. Calling hours were held on Sunday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Memorial Estates Mortuary located at 5850 South 900 East in Murray, and at the Stake Center one hour prior to the services.
Kenneth was laid to rest following the conclusion of the Funeral Services at Memorial Gardens of the Valley (now known as Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery) in Sandy.
