PROVO--Mrs. Sarah Broadhead Curtis, 81, active temple worker in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, died Monday at 11:15 a.m. at the home of her daughter, Provo, of infirmities incident to age.She was born Nov. 28, 1865, at Levan, Juab county, a daughter of Jabez and Eunice Broadhead. She was married to John F. Curtis Jan. 29, 1885, in the St. George LDS temple. They made their home in Ayrora, Sevier county, until 1914, when they moved to Richfield. In 1923, they moved to Salt Lake City, where Mrs. Curtis was an active temple worker for 17 years. While in Aurora, she was active as Relief society secretary and teacher nearly 20 years, and was affiliated with the Mutual Improvement Assn. Surviving are her husband, Provo, and 11 sons and daughters, John L, Kenneth and Ruel Curtis, Mrs. Eunice C. Record and Mrs. Mabel Ence, Salt Lake City; Lero Curtis, Aurora; Earl J. Curtis, Richfield; Mrs. Sarah C. Christensen, Provo; Mrs. Lora C. Watkins, Buhl, Ida., and Mrs. Verda C. Willardsen, National City, Cal. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Provo Sixth LDS ward chapel by Frank T. Gardner, bishop.
