Mrs. Alberta (Kerlin) Smeltzer, 62, wife of Rev. D. P. Smeltzer, retired minister of the Evangelical Church, and a native of Altoona, died last evening after an extended illness in the Geisinger Hospital, Danville. She was born June 17, 1899, a daughter of Thomas and Annie Kerlin, and married Rev. Smeltzer, who served the Faith Evangelical Church in Altoona for a period of three years prior to 10 years ago. Rev. and Mrs. Smeltzer resided in the Evangelical Home in Lewisburg. Surviving are her husband and two sisters, Miss Josephine of Altoona and Mrs. Gladys Hetrick of Harrisburg. Friends are being received at St. Paul's E.U.B. Church, Lewisburg, over noon Thursday.
