Funeral services for Marlin Blosser, 69 of 38 Strawberry Court, Carlisle, will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle.

He died Sunday, July 5, 1998 at his home.

Born Jan. 12, 1929 in Carlisle, he was the son of the late Carl H. and Edna Jane Heberlig Blosser and the widower of Doris Oralls Blosser.

He was co-owner of Carlisle Electronics and Appliance Center on Harrisburg Pike, retiring in 1992. A U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict, he also served with the 104th National Guard, Carlisle.

He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles, American Legion Post 101, VFW Post 477 and Elks Lodge 578, all of Carlisle. He also belonged to the U.S. Golf Association, the Pennsylvania Sheriffs Association, Gobin Guard and the AARP.

Mr. Blosser is survived by his companion, Helen Shank; three sisters, Betty Mearkle and Elinor Weigle of Carlisle and Dorothy Bricker of Enola; five brothers, Dean of Gardners, Ben and Kenneth of Carlisle, Lester Blosser of Orangeville and Carl.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Alma Shaffer and Frances Miller, and two brothers, Sheldon and Dale.

Burial will be in Kutz's Cemetery, Middlesex Township.

Friends may call Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. An Elks service will be held prior to the funeral service.
