26 Jan 1951: Mrs. Lucy M. Kreiser (nee Bowers), aged 66, and widow of Walter T. Kreiser, passed away early last night at the home of daughter Mrs. Alma Tredick, 424 S. 14th Street. She had been living with another daughter, Mary Kreiser. She was a daughter of the late Jairus S. and Sarah (Peters) Bowers. She was born in Lebanon, but spent her early childhood in Altoona and Pittsburgh, but returned to Lebanon after her marriage, and had resided here since. She was a member of St. Paul United Brethren Church here. In addition to those mentioned, she is survived by daughters Thelma, wife of John H. Ramsey, Oxford, Pa.; Alma, widow of Capt. William H. Tredick, Lebanon; and Sarah Jane, wife of Ira W. Harris, Philadelphia; sons Walter, Jr., Lebanon; and Frederick, Salisbury, Md.; sister Ruth, wife of E. Joseph Smith, New York City; brothers Raymond Bowers, Sagamore, Pa.; and Ralph Bowers, Pittsburgh; and 15 grandchildren. [Lebanon Daily News]
