William R. Mayer, 56, of 2942 S. Odell, veteran employe of the Turner Cut Fishing Resort, died early today in a local hospital after an illness of two months. Born in Nebraska, Mr. Mayer lived in this area 40 years. He was widely known among boaters in this area.
Mr. Mayer is survived by three daughters, Janice Mora of Stockton, and Annette Durham and Kathleen Mayer, both of El Centro; five sisters, Martha Mencel, Emma Bianchetti and Annette Ackerman, all of Lodi, Hilda Ratliff of Turlock, and Dolliw Collins of Rio Vista; and a brother, Julius Mayer of Folsom.
