Howland – Jesse Lee Bryant passed away peacefully, Thursday, February 11, 2016 at St. Joseph Medical Center.
Jesse was born April 9, 1921 in Olive Hill, Kentucky a son of the late Ayers and Martha L. (Mosier) Bryant.
A proud Veteran of the United States Army, Jesse served during World War II.
He was a member of the Bazetta Christian Church and retired as a machine shop foreman with ITT Grinnell with more than 25 years of service.
After retirement, Jesse enjoyed woodworking, gardening and traveling, as well as bowling, golfing and playing cards.
He will be sadly missed by his sons: Shawn L. (Kelly) Bryant of Howland and Drew A. (Tina) Bryant of Columbia, South Carolina; two brothers: Chester Bryant of Alliance and Arnold Bryant of Alliance; one sister: Mary Kirschman of Warren; and three granddaughters: Kristin (Justin) Koper, Hannah, and Rachel Bryant.
Jesse is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, the former Frances Jean McKean, whom he married May 6, 1948 and passed away on April 18, 2002; seven brothers: Ayers, Raymond, Eugene, Richard, Sterill, Harold, and Clayton Bryant and one sister: Margaret Jewell Bungard.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St., Youngstown, OH 44512 or the Trumbull Animal Cruelty Task Force,. PO Box 93, Niles, Ohio 44446 in Jesse’s name.
Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, 962 North Rd. NE, Warren, Ohio. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services Saturday at the funeral home.
Burial will occur at Crown Hill Burial Park.
