LAFAYETTE ~ Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 11, 2016 at a 1:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Carencro for Alma Marie Guilbeau Boss, age 99, the former Alma Marie Guilbeau, who passed away Sunday, February 7, 2016 at 5:05 a.m. at her daughter’s home in Lafayette.
Interment will be in Evangeline Memorial Gardens in Carencro. The Rev. Aubrey Guilbeau will officiate at the services.
Mrs. Boss was a native of Carencro and a resident of Lafayette. She was a parishioner of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Lafayette and belonged to the St. Anne Society in Carencro.
Survivors include one daughter, Elaine June Broussard of Lafayette; two grandchildren, Kim Francis Broussard and his wife, Cinnamon and Kasey Felix Broussard; two great grandchildren, Abbey Lloyd Broussard and Seth Gasper Broussard; one brother, Argie Guilbeau of Jennings; one brother-in-law, Hubert Boss and his wife, Anna Lee, of Arnaudville; and three sisters-in-law, Lilly Noto of Arnaudville, Gloria Boss Devalcourt of Sunset and Macklin Guilbeau of Carencro.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Placide Guilbeau and the former Anaise Matthieu; her husband, Lloyd Louis Boss; four brothers, Wilbern Guilbeau, Olan Guilbeau, Harold Guilbeau and Rodney Guilbeau; two sisters, Juanita Mangano and Vivian Bourque; and one son-in-law, Emery Broussard.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 a.m. Thursday until service time on Thursday.
Pallbearers will be Kim Broussard, Kasey Broussard and Glenn Guilbeau. Honorary pallbearers will be Dale Boss, Argie Guilbeau and Seth Gasper Broussard.
