A gathering of family and friends will be held Monday, August 4, at Ibert's Mortuary in Franklin from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM, with the rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM, and again Tuesday from 9:00 AM until time of dismissal at 1:45 PM.
Mrs. Juanita was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. She worked as a beautician, owning her own salon, Juanita's Beauty Salon, as well as owning and operating Frenchie's Restaurant for 13 years. She also worked for the St. Mary Parish School Board as a substitute school bus driver for 25 years and was active with the Special Olympics and the St. Jules and Church of the Assumption St. Joseph's Altars.
Survivors include one son, Ben John Mangano and his wife Souk of New Iberia; two daughters, Peggy Mangano Aymond and her husband John of Pineville and Iona Weiland and her husband Ray of Lafayette; three grandsons, Mickey Landerman, Jr., Kristopher Landerman, and Michael Scott; two granddaughters, Morgan Weiland and Chelsy Landry; two great grandchildren, Kylie Landerman and Kainen Landerman; one brother, Argie Guilbeau of Jennings; one sister, Alma Voss of Lafayette; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband John Louis Mangano; one daughter, Darlene Mangano Alexander; one grandson, Mylz Ben Mangano; her parents, Placide and Annaise Matthieu Guilbeau; three brothers, Olan Guilbeau, Wilbern Guilbeau, and Harold Guilbeau; and one sister, Vivian Bourque.
