Obituary
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at a 2:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Carencro for Wilbern Frank "Beau" Guilbeau, age 88, who passed away Sunday, November 22, 2009 at 6:15 a.m. at his residence in Carencro.
Interment will be in St. Peter Catholic Cemetery in Carencro. The Rev. Aubrey Guilbeau will officiate at the services.
Mr. Guilbeau was a native and lifelong resident of Carencro. He was employed with Hub City Iron Works for thirty-four years. He was a parishioner of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Carencro. Mr. Guilbeau was previously a member of the Knights of Columbus and was also a member of the Evangeline Chapter of the Antique Car Club.
Survivors include his wife, Beulah "Bodout" LaGrange Guilbeau of Carencro; three sons, Wilbern James Guilbeau and his wife, Mary, of Scott, Terry Keith Guilbeau of Miami, FL and Mark Anthony Guilbeau of Ashville, NC; three grandchildren, Christopher Dwain Guilbeau of New Iberia, Angelle Chiasson of Breaux Bridge and Austin Guilbeau of Miami, FL; one great grandchild, Asa Aaron Chiasson; one brother, Argie Guilbeau of Jennings; and two sisters, Alma Boss of Lafayette and Juanita Monagano and her husband, John, of Franklin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Placide Francois Guilbeau and the former Anaise Matthieu; one daughter, Barbara Lee Guilbeau; two brothers, Olan Guilbeau and Harold Guilbeau; and one sister, Vivian Bourque.
Pallbearers will be Wilbern James Guilbeau, Terry Keith Guilbeau, Mark Anthony Guilbeau, Christopher Dwain Guilbeau, Grady Chiasson and Jerry Quebedeaux. Honorary pallbearer will be Argie Guilbeau.
Melancon Funeral Home, 4615 N. University Ave., Carencro, Louisiana was in charge of arrangements.
