Paul D. Benedict, 90, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2015, at his son's home.
Born January 5, 1925, he was a son of the late Ezra G. Benedict and Lizzie Wingert Benedict. His wife, Mary Catharine Beckner Benedict, preceded him in death on May 7, 2006.
Paul was a lifelong farmer and a member of the Falling Spring Old German Baptist Brethren Church.
Paul is survived by five sons, Lloyd B. and wife Doris of Chambersburg, Clinton W. and wife Ruth Ann of Chambersburg, Galen A. and wife Fern of Waynesboro, Omar L. and wife Loraine of Pleasant Hall, and Alvin R. and wife Jeanne of Fayetteville; daughter-in-law, Linda Benedict of OH; 24 grandchildren; and 66 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, Paul was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Benedict; two grandchildren; six brothers; and two sisters.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at the Falling Spring Old German Baptist Brethren Meeting House, with The Home Brethren officiating. Interment will follow the service in the adjoining church cemetery.
