At that time they were residing one house away from John 'Sampel' (abt 1807) and Sarah/ Sallie 'Sampel' (abt 1808), presumably his grandparents. George's siblings were Robert (Oct 1860 Ireland), John (abt 1862), Thomas (abt 1866), Elizabeth (abt 1870), her twin James (abt 1870), and Samuel (abt 1873) Three siblings died before 1900, including James.
He was married to Jane "Jennie' Taylor on February 7 1884 in Philadelphia. Jane was the daughter of William and Lottie Taylor of Ireland. George and Jane resided at 1261 South 28th Street in the 36th ward. He was a clerk. George was 50 years old when he died from tuberculosis.
