Spence is my great-great-uncle.
Spencer Howard "Spence" Curtis was born at home in Moroni, Utah to Jacob Lehi Curtis and Jensena "Sena" Simonsen.

Spence married Hermine Hedwig Fehringer on February 10, 1940 in Magna; later divorced. Spence married Geraldine Slye on April 25, 1953 in Salt Lake City. They resided in White City, an enclave of Sandy, Utah.

He was the beloved father of fourteen children. Spence worked for the Kennecott Utah Copper Corporation in the smelter for forty-two years and retired in 1975. Spence was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Spence passed away on Friday, Sepember 30, 1988 at his home. He resided at 1145 East Turquoise Way (9992 South) in White City, Utah at the time of his death.

Funeral services were held on Monday, October 3, 1988 at 1:00 p.m. in the Sandy Central Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 1050 East Galena Drive (9800 South) in White City. Calling hours were held on Sunday, October 2, 1988 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Lake Hills Mortuary located at 10055 State Street (100 East) in Sandy, and also at the stake center one hour prior to the services.
Spence was laid to rest following the conclusion of the funeral services at the Lake Hills Memorial Park in Sandy.
