Madril Sena "Mae" Curtis Mower Freeman was born Saturday, January 7, 1899 at home in Moroni, Utah to Jacob Lehi Curtis and Jensena "Sena" Simonsen.
She married George Henry Mower on June 4, 1918 in Paris, Idaho. She also married Harold K. "Harry" Freeman.
She moved to Salt Lake City in 1926, where she resided until her death in 1941. Mae resided at 1077 West Indiana Avenue (830 South) in the Glendale neighborhood of Salt Lake City at the time of her death.
She graduated from the Salt Lake General Hospital School of Nursing in 1930 and had been active in Nurse's activities until her death. Mae was the State Chairman and one of the organizers of the private duty section of the Utah Nurses Association at the time of her death.
On May 7, 1941, Mae was admitted to the Salt Lake General Hospital for treatment of uremia which was diagnosed five months earlier. Mae passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 18, 1941 at 3:50 p.m. of heart and kidney failure. She was forty-one years old.
Funeral Services were held on Thursday, May 22, 1941 at 2:00 p.m. in the Aultorest Mortuary Chapel (now known as Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary) located at 2350 East 1300 South in Salt Lake City under the direction of Mr. George Faust. A viewing was held at the mortuary one hour prior to the services.
Entombment followed in the Larkin Sunset Lawn Mausoleum.
