Born in Stockton to Lillie and Lewis Burton, he remained a near life-long resident. Gerald served honorably during the Vietnam War U.S. Navy. He was a truck driver for many years and enjoyed the outdoors, reading, and Old Western movies.
Survived by his wife, daughters, grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren, all of Stockton, Sacramento, and Linden. He was also survived by 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Lloyd and Ray Burton, and a sister, Doris Burton.
Services were held Friday, March 16, 2012 at Cherokee Memorial Park.
