The Burton family moved to California in the mid-1940's, where Ray finished high school, married and started a family and remained for his lifetime. He was a Vocational Education Supervisor at Delta College, and an accomplished cabinetmaker.
Ray served his country honorably in the US Marine Corps, and enjoyed the outdoors-especially camping and fishing, was an avid golfer, and cherished time with his family.
He is now at rest in Cherokee Memorial along with his parents, his daughter Melinda Burton, 2 Sisters, and numerous other relatives.
