Nellie M. Groh, 96, of Bloomington, died Tuesday at her residence.
Born Aug. 11, 1898, in Monroe County, she was the daughter of David Reuben and Josie Isabelle (Dillman) Guy. She was a homemaker and had taught school in Monroe County. She was a member of the First Christian Church, the church's Women's Auxiliary and a founding member of the Green Thumb Gardening club.
Survivors include three granddaughters, Jane Ann Fuller of Albuquerque, N.M., Suzanne Groh of Bloomington and Cheryl Ann Armstrong of Indianapolis; her daugher-in-law, Audrey R. Groh of Bloomington; seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert B. Groh, in 1993; one son, Marvin Dean Groh, in 1977; two sister, Blanche Guy and Edith Hopper [sic]; and three brothers, Glen, Frank and Robert Guy.
Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Allen Funeral Home with the Rev. Connie Huston officiating. Burial will be at Clear Creek Cemetery.
Friends may call 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
