David R. Guy, aged 63, well known farmer, died at 11:35 p. m. Friday at the Bloomington hospital. He had been in ill health for six months and underwent a serious stomach operation Wednesday.
Mr. Guy was one of the best known men in the county and for a number of years had operated a farm on the Rockport road, south of the city. He was a member of the Clear Creek Christian church.
Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Ella Guy; two daughters, Mrs. Gurnie Hopper and Mrs. Albert Groh, both of this city; two sons, Glen D., and Robert M. Guy, of Chigago; three sisters, Mrs. James Dodd, Wynne, Ark., Mrs. Will Hough of Missouri and Mrs. Will Renshaw of Hutchinson, Kas.; one brother, Jerome Guy of Colorado Springs, Colo., and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p. m. Monday from the Clear Creek church, with the Rev. Harry Bridwell and the Rev. W. E. Moore in charge. Interment will be in the Clear Creek cemetery.
Active pallbearers: John Dillman, Elmer Dillman, Oscar Campbell, Morton Dodds, Charles Thrasher and George Fowler. Honorary pallbearers: William Adams, John May, W. W. Weaver, Joseph H. Campbell, William Curry, Dr. J. E. Moser and J. E. Darby.
