In February of 1946, Hattie was united in marriage to Fred Jones. She worked for many years at the Green circle as a cook in Centerville. She so enjoyed Bingo, Crossword puzzles, quilting, garage sales and Crochet.
She is preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Fred Jones on September 25, 1978; great grandchildren, Danny Joe Roberts, Rochelle Roberts, Kenton Thomas and Bradon Thomas; infant sister, Leone Clemens; infant brother, John Clemens; sisters, Katherine Peel, Sylvia Abbott, Lucille Cline, Opal Perry, Dorothy Adler and Virginia Clark; brothers, LeRoy Clements, Richard Clemens, Arvel Clemens and Charles Clemens; Sons-in-law, Roxie Ruby, Richard Smithart and Everett Carpenter.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 10 am Thursday, October 15, 2015 at Dale Cemetery north of Centerville with Fred Bridges officiating. Burial will follow in the cemetery. Visitation will be held an hour before services at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, with the family present. A memorial fund has been established and will be designated at a later date and may be left or mailed to the funeral home. The Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa is caring for Hattie and her family at this time.
