FRANKIE NELL TESNEY TURNER, age 74, died Monday, October 5, 2015, at her residence in Charleston.

Born October 16, 1940 in Haleyville, AL to the late William Wes and Ethel Lee Howell Tesney, she moved to Missouri in 1943. Following her graduation from Kelly High School she moved to Washington, DC in 1959. In 1975 she moved to the Austin, Texas area where she lived until moving to Charleston in 2014.

On May 16, 1961 she married Charles Turner who preceded her in death on November 23, 1997.

She is survived by two children, Barbara Blair of Charleston and David (Jennifer) Turner of Lexington, TX; one brother, Roger Tesney of Miner; two sisters, Nelda Creek of Charleston and Betty Spiker of Poplar Bluff; also one grandson, John Franklin Turner of Bryan, TX.

In addition to her parents, one brother, Don Tesney, preceded her in death.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2015, at the McMikle Funeral Home from 12:30 pm until the Funeral hour at 2:00 pm. Rev. Greg Bowers, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Charleston, will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Bill Nance, William Howard Morrow, Gage Nance, Harrison Beasley, Jr., Harold Delk Jr., and Jackie Watkins.

FRANKIE NELL TESNEY TURNER, age 74, died Monday, October 5, 2015, at her residence in Charleston.
