Ethel Lee Howell Tesney, Age 92, died Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at her home in Bertrand.
Born September 4, 1918, at Haleyville, Alabama to the late Silous and Villa Loveless Howell, she had lived in Bertrand most of her life where she was member of the Cornerstone Church.
On August 21, 1939, she married William Wes Tesney, who preceded her in death on August 9, 1988.
Surviving are: one son, Roger Tesney; three daughters, Nelda Creek; Betty Spiker and Frankie Turner; two sisters, Wilba Lauderdale and Faye Gaskin; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Don Tesney; two brothers Orville Howell and Joe Howell and one sister, Dorothy Darby.
Visitation and services at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.
Interment followed in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were: Grover Morrow, Bill Nance, Brent Nance, Dossey Nance, Harrison Beasley and Harold Delk.
