Funeral arrangements are incomplete for Mrs. Mary Lena Nunn, 79, of Rock Lick in Fayette County who died at 1:30 a.m. today in a Fayetteville nursing home following a long illness.
She was born in Wythe County, Virginia, March 28, 1892, the daughter of the late Joe and Angeline Lewis Akers.
She was a member of the Rock Lick Community Church and was preceded in death by her husband William D. Nunn in 1962.
Survivors include seven sons, Steven, Oak Hill, Preston, Charleston, William D. Jr., Waverly, Lacy, Stattelite Beach, Florida, Paul, Detroit, Michigan, Joe, Washington D.C. and Ronald, Pensecola, Florida; seven daughters, Mrs. James (Thelma) Markuz and Mrs. R. D. (Peggy) Wensink, Detroit, Michigan, Mrs. G. T. (Marie) Arnold, Beckley, Mrs. Clinton (Martha) Lawhorn and Miss Margaret Nunn, Wilmington, Delaware, Mrs. Joe (Maxine) Smith, Slab Fork, and Miss Rosemary Nunn, Milwaukee, Wisconsin; one brother, Lacy Akers, Ashland, Kentucky, 34 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The body is at the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home in Beckley.

RITES SET TODAY
ROCK LICK -- Final Rites for Mrs. Mary Lena Nunn, 79, of Rock Lick, will be conducted in the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel at 2 p.m. today with Rev. William Menefee officiating. Burial in High Lawn Memorial Park in Oak Hill.
She died Monday in a Fayetteville nursing home following a long illness. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
