Mr. Clifford Pittaway, age 82, of Gassville died Friday, July 21, 2006 at Auburn Hills. He was born June 15, 1924 in Linda, KS, to Ernest Claude and Stella Fern (Kesselring) Pittaway. The family moved to Mountain Home in 1939 and here he married Hazel P. Dutton on June 29, 1946 to whom he was married for over 60 years. Clifford served in the US Army in World War II and later worked until retirement as a mail carrier for the US Postal Service. Mr. Pittaway was a preacher in several area Churches of Christ for almost 50 years. He was an avid reader and organic gardener, a member of the Lead Hill VFW and a member of the East Highway 178 Church of Christ.

Mr. Pittaway is survived by his wife Hazel, of the home, 1 son Ken (Wanda) Pittaway of Midland, TX, 3 daughters: Nancy (Tom) Sparks and Susan (Steve) Bergey both of Monkey Run, and Tammy (Sean) Riney of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, 3 sisters: Ruth (David) Huddleston of Saratoga, WY, Evelyn Hensley of Mountain Home, and Adella Dotson of Kansas City, MO; 4 brothers: Walter (Lavaun) Pittaway of Mountain Home, Joe (Dee) Pittaway of Cotter, Clinton Pittaway of New Braunfels, TX, and Robert (Ann) Pittaway of Gassville; 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers: Ben and Phillip.

Visitation will be from Noon-9:00 P.M. Monday at Roller Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6-8:00 P.M. Funeral Services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday in the Roller Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Drew Ratcliff officiating. Interment will follow in Reed Grove Cemetery.
