WESTFIELD, NC ~ Mrs. Virginia Inez Shelton Inman, 91, of Westfield passed away Monday, March 14, 2005, at Springwood Care of Forsyth, after an extended illness.

She was born April 23, 1913, in Stokes County to James Tyril and Maggie Busie McHone Shelton.

She was a homemaker and a member of Albion Baptist Church.

Mrs. Inman is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Ted and Pat Inman of Clemmons; a granddaughter, Shannon Inman (Jaime) Bauerle of Charlotte; a great-granddaughter, Hannah Bauerle; a step-grandson, Chuck Willis (Becky) of Dallas, N.C.; a step-great-granddaughter, Leah Willis; two sisters, Cordella Bryant of Ararat and Marie Burch of Mount Airy.

Mrs. Inman was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas Woodrow Inman; two sisters, Vesti Smith and Lucille Heath; and by three brothers, Fletcher Shelton, Lenzie Shelton and Raymond Shelton.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2005, at Albion Baptist Church, with the Rev. Odell Sisk officiating. Interment will follow at Inman Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today, March 15, 2005, at Cox-Needham Funeral Home and Chapel, Pilot Mountain.

Memorials may be made to Albion Baptist Church Building Fund, c/o Bernie and Patsy Chilton, 687 Woodville Road, Mount Airy, NC 27030.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Casey Conner and her staff for the kindness and attention given to Virginia during her stay at Springwood Care and especially to Mrs. Betty Spillman for her loving care of our Mother and Grandmother.

The Inman family is being served by Cox-Needham Funeral Home, Pilot Mountain.
