Age 94, passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2015. She was born on May 30, 1920 in Portland, MI the daughter of Peter and Helen (Fernholz) Gensterblum. Mrs. Huhn was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Portland. Elizabeth loved playing cards, bingo, enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers, flowers and birdwatching, and especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Gerald; son-in-law, Leon Hengesbach; daughter-in-law, Jule Huhn; grandchildren, Keith Graft, Liza Huhn and Kyle Huhn. Surviving are her children, Charlene (Gordon) Graft of Portland, Janet (John) Hengesbach of Portland, Carol Wells of New London, Wisconsin, Yvonne (Gene) Smith of Haslett, Gerald (Linda) Huhn of Portland, Melvin Huhn of Portland, Peter (Sue) Huhn of Portland, Dennis (Terry) Huhn of Grand Ledge, Claude (Donna) Huhn of Portland, Claudia Hengesbach of Westphalia, Sandy (Mark) Ackerson of Portland, Debbie (Steve) Kissane of Grand Rapids, Theresa (Dave) Maccagnone of Rochester Hills, and Laurie (Randy) Laramy of Howard City; 32 grandchildren; 55 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; siblings, SSJ Bernita Marie Gensterblum, Mary Louise (William) Hanses, Eleanor (Bud) Peake, Robert (Mary) Gensterblum, Delores Hauser, Barbara (Leon) Densmore, and James (Louise) Gensterblum; several in-laws. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Larry King at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 6, 2015 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Portland.
