Dennis was born in September of 1953 to the late Gerald and Elizabeth (Gensterblum) Huhn. He graduated from Portland High School, Class of 1972, lettering in football and wrestling, then later attended Lansing Community College where he earned his Associate Degree.
Dennis worked as a Machine Operator at TRW in Portland, retiring after 31 years. In his recent leisure time he enjoyed riding motorcycles, golfing, camping, and traveling. In his children’s younger years, Dennis participated in their sports activities by coaching his son’s baseball team and earning a Tae Kwon Do black belt alongside his daughter. He was a loving husband, dad, grandpa, brother, and friend who was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife of 7 years, Terry Worrall Huhn; children Matt (Colleen) Huhn and Sara (Chris) Pulling; stepsons, Corey (Nicole) Worrall and Cody Worrall; grandchildren, Evan Matthew, Molly Margaret, Katelynn Elizabeth, Lindsey Michelle, Emma Clare and Andrea Lynne; sisters, Charlene (Gordy) Graft, Sandy (Steve) Ackerson, Yvonne (Gene) Smith, Debbie (Steve) Kissane, Laurie (Randy) Laramy, Theresa Maccogone and Carol Wells; brothers, Gerald (Linda), Melvin, Peter (Sue) and Claud (Donna); brother-in-law, John Hengesbach; sister -in-law Tammy (Mike) Poole.
Dennis was preceded in death by his sisters, Janet Hengesbach and Claudia Hengesbach.
A graveside service will be held February 22, 2021, 1:00p.m. at East Lawn Memory Gardens in Okemos. A private family visitation will be held. Memorial contributions may be given to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Donor Services. Arrangements by the Holihan-Atkin-Barclay Funeral Home, Grand Ledge.
