Ewald Gerhard Erichsen passed away at home in the arms of his loving wife Gail on 14 July 2015 at 0730 A.M. Ewald was born August 20 1935 to Ludwig Adolph Peter Erichsen and Emilie Frieda Sophie Wehrhahn at Hamburg, Germany. He emigrated to the United States in 1952 with his parents. Ewald married Gail Lee Anderson on 27 Sept. 1957. Ewald and Gail were later sealed in the Manti Temple 05 March 2005. Ewald was an active member of the LDS Church and had many callings in the Manti 5th ward. He was a skilled contractor and heavy machine operator. He is survived by: his wife Gail; son Lee; his brothers and sisters, Anna-Lisea, Peter, Herbert, Marion, Marita, Hannelore and Susan. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Ludwig and Emilie; his sisters, Lutzi, Ruth and Hildegard, brothers, Ludwig, Fritz, Helmut and Konrad; daughter Heidi. He was buried next to his daughter Heidi Zitting at the Manti Cemetery, Manti Utah. Ewald's best friends dedicated his resting place, Bishop Bud Keisel and Bishop Vernon Jason.
