Ludwig Adolf Peter Erichsen was born on Nov. 26, 1890 at Gunneby, Schleswig, Holstein, Prussia to Johannes Christoph Erichsen and Marie Sophie Schwee. Ludwig was nine years old when his Mother Marie died in childbirth. Ludwig and his siblings were placed in an orphanage. He was in the World War I and World War II in Germany. Ludwig married Anna Wilhelmine Charlotte Wehrhahn. They had two children, Ludwig and Lucie. Anna died in childbirth. Ludwig joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Ludwig married Anna Wehrhahn's younger Sister Emilie Frieda Sophie Wehrhahn. The following children were born to Ludwig and Emilie Erichsen including; Annelisa, Peter, Fritz, Ruth, Helmut,
Herbert, Ewald, Wilford, Conrad, Marion, Marita, Hanalore,
Hildagarde and Elfrieda. Ludwig's Sister Emma Magarethe Erichsen Sieverling had joined the LDS Church and moved to the United States and settled in Murray, Utah. Ludwig's Sister Emma sponsored Ludwig's family. Ludwig's family emigrated to the United States in 1955. Ludwig died of natural causes at age 97 on July 11, 1987 at Midvale, Salt Lake County, Utah. He was buried at Redwood Memorial Estates, Taylorsville, Salt Lake County, Utah.
