Emilie Frieda Sophie Werhahn was born on April 7, 1908 at Ostendorf, Prussia to August Friedrich Werhahn and Engel Wilhelmine Justine Schmidt. She was the eighth out of a family of thirteen children. Emilie married Ludwig Erichsen on Feb. 18, 1928 in Germany.The following children were born to Ludwig and Emilie Erichsen including; Annelisa, Peter, Fritz, Ruth, Helmut,
Herbert, Ewald, Wilford, Conrad, Marion, Marita, Hanalore,
Hildagarde and Elfrieda. Ludwig's Sister Emma Magarethe Erichsen Sieverling had joined the LDS Church and moved to the United States and settled in Murray, Utah. Ludwig's Sister Emma sponsored Ludwig's family. Ludwig's family emigrated to the United States in 1955. She worked hard all her life. Emilie died Feb. 11, 1985 at age 77 at Murray, Utah, Salt Lake County, Utah. She was much loved by all who knew her. She was buried at Redwood Memorial Estates, Taylorsville, Salt Lake County, Utah.
