Austin--Anna Marie Howden, age 72, of Austin, died Friday, July 21, 2006, at the Austin Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer.
Ann was born June 3, 1934, in Nevada Township, Mower County, to Frederick and Anna (Heimer) Landherr. She grew up on her parents' farm in Johnsburg, Minn., attended elementary school in Johnsburg, and graduated from Adams High School.
Ann worked at Hormel Foods Corporate Office before retiring. She married Glen Howden in 1967; they were later divorced.
Ann loved her family and her many good friends. She lived her life with a fun-loving spirit that she readily shared with those around her. She will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her brothers: Gerald Landherr, of Austin, Minn.; Donald Landherr, of Adams, Minn.; Jerome "Slim" (LaVonne) Landherr, of Adams, Minn.; Herbert "Pee Wee" Landherr, of Adams, Minn.; sisters: Jane (LaVerne) Felten, of Austin, Minn.; Joan Landherr, of Austin, Minn.; Dorothy (Gerald) Gerber, of Adams, Minn.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Irene Landherr.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 23, 2006, at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Friends may call from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service at the church. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
The honorary casket bearers will be Sue Lunde and Deb Landherr. The casket bearers will be Tom Landherr, Chuck Landherr, Mark Landherr, Dale Felten, Jim Felten and Ron Felten.
