David Stoddard Judd, 94, passed away July 17, 2015 in Santaquin, Utah.
Stoddard was born on July 8, 1921 to Hazel America Stoddard and David Edward Judd in Salt Lake City, Utah.
He served an honorable mission to Brazil from 1940 – 1943 for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
On August 14, 1947 Stoddard married Valene Andersen in the Salt Lake City Temple.
Together they raised eight children.
Stoddard graduated from USC dental school in 1944. He practiced general dentistry for three years in Nephi, Utah.
In 1951 Stoddard also served in the Navy during the Korean War. He later specialized and practiced Oral Surgery for 44 years in Salt Lake City, Utah. He loved dairy farming, ranching, and raised beef cattle. He had a great love for all animals. Stoddard’s family had a cabin at Smith Moorehouse and enjoyed spending time there.
Stoddard is survived by his wife: Valene; sons;daughters ; sisters; 30 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father: David Edward Judd; his mother: Hazel Stoddard; son: Matthew; brother Ted; sister: Marjorie; and brother-in-law: Nishan Sheranian.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 23, 2015 at 11 a.m. in the Genola LDS Chapel Corner of Main & Center Street, Genola, Utah.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 from 6 til 8 p.m. at the Walker Funeral Home, 587 South 100 West, Payson, Utah, also on Thursday, July 23, 2015 from 9:45 til 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to the funeral.
Interment will be at the Genola City Cemetery.
