MRS. MAGGIE CARLTON
Mrs. Maggie Short Carlton, 83, 3621 14 Ave., died at 6 p.m. Monday at the Medical Center, after a long illness.
Mrs. Carlton was born in Muscogee County, Aug. 26, 1880 a daughter of the late Lon and Sarah Howard Short.
Survivors include a daughter, Miss Thelma Taylor, Columbus; a half-sister, Mrs. D. W. Long, Columbus, and several nieces and nephews.

CARLTON -- Funeral services for Mrs. Maggie Carlton will be Wednesday, 11 a.m. at the graveside in Riverdale Cemetery with the Rev. Loy Veal, pastor of Sherwood Methodist Church officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Fred Whatley, Grover C. Wolfe, E. C. Hartman and A. J. Ham. Survivors include a daughter, Miss Thelma Taylor, Columbus; a half-sister, Mrs. D. W. Long, Columbus, and several nieces and nephews.
