~Melvin Couple Wed 60 Years Observe Event~


Melvin, July 20, Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Warner celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary Sunday in their home at a dinner attended by 44 guests. Mr. and Mrs. Warner were married July 3, 1872. Mr. Warner, 84, works regularly in his garden and also carries mail twice a day from the station to the Melvin post office. Mrs. Warner, 76, formerly Miss. Miller, was born in Ontario. She came to Michigan when a young girl. Mrs. Warner healthy and active and does her own housework. Mr. and Mrs. Warner have ten children, 22 grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren. All the children except one daughter, Mrs. Edith Bryce, are living. There are five sons, George, Milton, Grover, William, and Ernest, all of Port Huron, and five daughters, Mrs. Charles Apsey of Owosso, Mrs. James Woodruff of Amadore, Mrs. Claude Hall of Peck, and Mrs. Leslie Graham of Croswell, and Mrs. Charles Weidenbach.
