Funeral services for Beulah Lee Cate York, age 85, were held Monday, December 29, 1997 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Teague. Burial followed at Stewards Mill Cemetery in Fairfield. Officiating was Rev. Darrel Beggs. Special music was "Take My Hand Precious Lord." Mrs. York passed away on Sunday, December 28, 1997 in Fairfield. She was a saleslady at Dry goods and grocery stores and a member of the First Baptist Church of Teague. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Bradford York, Sr. in 1983. she is survived by three daughters, Wanda Sanders of Franklin, Gwen Steen of Teague, and Nelma Webb of Waco: Son, Bradford York, Jr. of Teague: 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild; and sister, Lura Catlin of Gainesville. Pallbearers were Billy Don York, John Sanders, Jr., Greg Sanders, Jeremy Webb, Timothy Webb, Cory Webb and Hank Steen. Ricks Funeral Home of Teague was in charge of arrangements.
