Mr. Whitmire died of apoplexy. He was 72 years, 10 days of age. Children were Carrie (b. 6/14/1880), William (b. 10/21/1881), Luther (b. 6/9/1891), Daisy (b. 2/6/1894) and Jessie (b. 8/7/1897). There is another child shown as his daughter on her death certificate, but did not find her on a census record. She is Emma Laurie Whitmire - she died 8/21/1926.

He had another child who you have not listed: Arthur E. Whitmire, twin to Luther. Arthur died the 1 June 1965, Forsyth Co, GA & was buried in the Zion Hill Cemetery in Cumming.
Also would like to point out the J.M. Whitmire that is located in Hollywood was actually buried in Westview Cemetery. This was William's father, James Madison Whitmire.
