Glen Dale Lockman, 70, Medora, died at 4:45 a.m. Wednesday, Oct 8, at his residence. He had been ill for 15 years. He retired in 1985 as a department head of insulin purification at Eli Lilly, Indianapolis, A U.S. Navy World War II veteran; he was a member of Washington Lodge 13, Free and accepted Masons of Brownstown and a member of the First Baptist Church in Bradenton, Fla. He was born Aug 29, 1927 in Seymour to John E and Florence Owens Lockman. He returned to Jackson County in 1993 from Bradenton, Fla. He married the former Betty N. Sherrill on Aug 29, 1948 at Indianapolis, and she survives. Other survivors include two sons, John W. Lockman of Bonita Springs, Fla. And Jerry W. Lockman of Millbrook, Ala.; two brothers, Raymond B. Lockman of Washington Courthouse, Ohio and Andrew T. Lockman of Brownstown; a sister, Mary E. Hanners of Wilmington, Ohio; four grandchildren, David Lockman, Misty York, Leisa Eaddy, and Leah Lockman; six great- grandchildren, and a caregiver, Linda Moore. He was preceded in death by a brother, John E. Lockman. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, Oct 11, at Winklepleck-Weesner Funeral Home in Brownstown with Rev. Marianne Green officiating. Burial was in the Clearspring Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.
