Florence Lockman,90, of Sabina, Ohio, formerly of Clearspring, died Wednesday, May 29, at the Autumn Years Nursing Home in Sabina. She was a homemaker. She was born Aug. 28, 1906 in Scottsburg to the late Cecil and Clara Thorton Owens. She married John E Lockman on Marsh 24, 1924 in Jackson County, and he preceded her in death in 1986. Survivors include three sons, Glenn Lockman, Medora; Raymond Lockman, Washington Courthouse, Ohio, and Andrew Lockman, Brownstown; one daughter, Mary Hanner, Wilmington, Ohio; one sister, Glenn Stout, Indianapolis; 13 grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, two brothers, and one sister. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 1, at Spurgeon Funeral Home in Brownstown with Harold Barnett officiating. Burial will be in the Clearspring Baptist Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday, May 31, from 4-8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
