DIED. — At his residence in ward seven of Winn parish, February 14, 1905, William T. Jones, aged 76 years, of paralysis.

Mr. Jones was one of Winn parish's oldest citizens, having moved here from Mississippi in the year 1856, and has resided in ward seven of this parish ever since that time.

Mr. Jones is the father of L. D. Jones of this city besides several other children who are prominent citizens of this parish. He was a consistent member of the Zion Hill church.

The remains were laid to rest in the Zion Hill grave yard Wednesday at 12 o'clock.

My great-great-great-grandfather William Tunley Jones was born to the union of Alson Jones and Malinda Evans, who married on August 31, 1825 in Rankin County, MS. He married Martha Ann Caroline McCarty on November 9, 1851 in Jasper County, MS. They settled in Winn Parish about 1860.

He was survived by his wife, Martha A. C. Jones; seven daughters, Martha Jane Jordan, Mary Elizabeth "Lizzie" Walker, Josephine "Josie" Gaar, Icedore "Icy" Dickerson, Rodella "Della" Hatten, Rosa L. Jones, and Cassie Ann Grisham; five sons, Theodore L. Jones, Leland D. Jones, William Wesley Jones, Charles L. Jones, and Wiley Randolph Jones; two sisters, Emily E. Jones and Manerva Jones; one brother, Alson Jones, Jr.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
