Sarah became acquainted with Ezra Brown the son of William and Rebecca Webster Chapin Brown and before long Ezra and Sarah Ann had fallen in love. On the 11 September 1889, the couple was married in the Logan Temple in Logan, Cache, Utah. Three children were born to this couple. The first child, William Ezra, was born 14 April 1892 in Woodruff, Utah. The second child, Mariner Shelby, was born 29 August 1893 in Fairview, Lincoln, Wyoming. The last child, Sarah Levina, was born 20 January 1895 in Woodruff, Utah. In June 1891, Ezra and Sarah purchased land from the U.S. Government, located north of Woodruff. This land now belongs to Mariner's son, Lawrence Brown of Woodruff.
On the 18 February 1895, less than a month after little Sarah's birth, her mother, Sarah Ann died. Cause of death was probably complications from childbirth. Sarah Ann is buried in Woodruff, Utah. She was only 23 years old when she died.
