Adella was a Midwife to 200 babies and Mother to 12 children. She moved from Eau Claire, WI to Wetaskiwin, Alberta and on to Ranfurly, Alberta, Canada at the turn of the century settling on a homestead a few miles south of the present town of Ranfurly where she and Josiah raised their children and owned a sheep ranch and lumber yard. In 1927, they moved to Tillamook, OR with their sons Claude and Darrell and daughter Ethel and her daughter Dorothy then moved on to North Bend, OR. After Josiah died, she lived for a time in OR before moving to Freetown, NY where she lived with her daughters before passing away. She is buried in NY but has a grave marker next to Josiah in Medford, OR.
