She was born in Ellis County and married Frank Zimmerman of Schoenchen in 1922.

Survivors include four sons, Harold, Arthur, Virgil and Vern; two daughters, Ruby Krasovich and Wanda Bell; four brothers, Al Engel, Matt Engel, Dan Engel and Ralph Engel; three sisters, Mrs. Art Drougmeier, Mrs. Paul Waldschmidt and Eleanor Hauser.
