Elder Marion Aubrey Hubbard,
82, of Lebanon, died Sept. 28, 1995 at a
Lebanon hospital.
Born at Swords Creek, he was
a son of the late Melvin and Clora
Belle Perkins Hubbard. He had
been a resident of Russell
County most of his life and lived
at Lebanon for the past year. He
was a member of the Primitive
Baptist Church and served as an
elder for several years. A retired
coal miner, he was formerly
employed by the Red Ash Coal
Company and a member of the
United Mine Workers of America.
He was preceded In death by
his first wife, Georgia Marie
Newberry Hubbard, and his
second wife. Merle Arlington
Hubbard.
Survivors: daughters, Mrs.
Paul (Evelyn) Hays of Raven,
Mrs. Mitchell (Irene) Powers of
Alexandria, Mrs. Charles
(Lucille) Lucas of Woodbridge,
Mrs. Rick (Virginia) Underwood
of Lexington, KY; sons, Arthur
M. Hubbard of Claypool Hill,
Melvin A. Hubbard of Llburn,
GA, William L. Hubbard of
Lebanon; sisters. Marlah
Herman of Oakwood, Molly
Powell of Martinsville; brother,
Rev. Eddie Hubbard of Swords
Creek; 13 grandchildren; and
jjight great-grandchildren.
The funeral was conducted
Sept. 30 at 11 a.m. at the
Honaker Funeral Home Chapel
at Honaker with Elders Otis
Fields and Victor Church officiating.
Burial followed at the Green- j
hills Memory Gardens at Clay-"
pool Hill.
A service was held Sept. 29 at 7
p.m. at the funeral home with"
Elders Delford Ward and Joe
Edwards officiating.
